Caskey Enjoys California In New Video ‘Cadillac’

in Featured/Videos by

Cash Money’s Caskey opens up the year with a trip out west to shoot his video, “Cadillac.” The crew rolls through the hills of California with a relaxed vibe of cruising in a Cadillac. The rapper revisits his recently released mixtape, Black Sheep 2, with the new visual.

Caskey spent the last year touring off of the successful release of his follow-up to his 2014 project, Black Sheep. He continues to climb, build and to brand himself despite what people may think of the label he’s signed to. Instead of involving himself into the legal battle within his label last year, he focused on his fan base and releasing quality music.

Listen to HenryDaher’s Latest Sounds, “Want Thing”

in Featured/Music by

HenryDaher quietly enters the new year with some new sounds giving you the old nostalgic feel with, “Want Thing.” HD had quite the year in 2015, completing placements with G-Eazy, Wifisfuneral, NIKO IS and so many more.

Stoked to present this check from @sony / @rcarecords to my good friend and artist @henrydaher for his production contribution on the song “Sad Boy” on @g_eazy’s upcoming album #whenitsdarkout. This is Henry’s first major label production placement, and the story behind it is pretty cool. When I lived in Albuquerque, I became good friends with @2mattyb, who later went on become G-Eazy’s manager. We kept in touch over the years, and since we both ended up working in the music industry, we found ourselves working together on shows. It was only a matter of time before G and Henry started making music together. I remember when Matt used to give me G’s first mixtapes back in 2007. They were printed on his CD burner at home and just had sharpie written on them. I quickly spread the word to all my friends. Now G’s career has sky rocketed. He tours the world, performing at huge venues and packing house. His last album has sold over 242k copies to date, and this next album is projected to do 100k sales first week. As Matt and G leveled up in the music industry, so did Dope Entertainment. It’s very cool to be working with friends at such a high level, and I’m thankful to Matt and the entire team at @therevelsgroup for the opportunity to expand my portfolio from live concerts into production placement. Henry has been working tirelessly on his production since I met him in 2011. I remember witnessing him endure sleepless nights of making beats, never getting discouraged when he didn’t get major placements. This first major label placement for Henry will not be the last! Henry’s credits now include @talibkweli, Styles P, @wifisfuneral, @nikohigh, and more! “When it’s Dark Out” by G-Eazy is available on iTunes and in stores everywhere on December 4th. Cheers! P.S. not sure what’s going on with my hair, and #noshavenovember is finally coming to a close so I can get rid of this beard lol

‘Twas The Night of Winter Solstice and It Was Lit

It’s only right to bring in the new year with some of the best talent Central Florida has to offer. Orlando’s own City Tucker is the man behind this show, giving the opportunity to the locals to show off a little bit to kick the year off the right way. I really have to buy a camera when I go to these shows. But you know, soon come.

Doors opened at 8 p.m., giving early supporters the chance to kick back and enjoy music while things came together. Guests were encouraged to hit the bar while they waited for the first group, Rap Supreme, to hit the stage. Rap Supreme engaged with the crowd while performing for a full 15-minute set. Next up, we saw LB 199X hit the stage, complete with band support and the songstress, Bria Zhanae.

The carefully thought out show gave some of the spotlight to Palmer Reed, a notoriously outstanding performer who gives the stage his all every single time. Last but not least, Cage and IF closed the show out leaving attendees eagerly ready for the next installment.

As a two-time attendee, I can say it’s more than worth it to grab a ticket to one of City Tucker’s shows. While most (if not all of you) are usually turned off by a price tag on a local showcase that isn’t free, take the time to support your local artists. Support means more than the occasional retweet on twitter, come out and support them when they are brave enough to share their art with you.
